Job Title: HVAC Systems Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Systems Support Engineer to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of HVAC systems on our rolling stock vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the subject matter expert for HVAC overhauls and repairs
  • Support the bid process for NPI (New Product Introduction) of rail vehicle HVAC equipment mileage-based overhauls
  • Generate new or amend existing COI (Component Overhaul Instructions) for mileage-based overhauls of rail vehicle (cab/saloon/galley) HVAC units

These will be based on technical requirements documents received from customers (internal and external) to include current EHS legislative instructions, environmental laws, HVAC type test and routine testing.

Requirements:
  • Degree or higher certificate in engineering/technical discipline
  • Strong experience in a similar role involving the maintenance and overhaul of safety-critical systems/equipment
  • Knowledge of HVAC processes such as brazing, use of gases, system vacuuming
  • Knowledge of a maintenance management system, BOM management, SAP
  • Advanced/business fluent level of English
