Project Manager Opportunity in Plymouth

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Defence and Strategic projects division based in Plymouth.

The successful candidate will support the business to achieve optimal utilisation of resources, ensuring high standards are met through quality-controlled documentation, processes, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage resilience-related projects or tasks, including effective supervision of staff, workforce, and subcontractors.
  • Effectively manage planning, programming, procurement, and health and safety.
  • Produce project-specific documentation, including RAMS, permits, toolbox talks, briefings, and other necessary health and safety documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, including actions log, resource allocation, site diaries, and progress monitoring.
  • In collaboration with management team members, establish and implement plans for effective deployment of staff and resources, minimising risk and determining incident reporting plans.
  • Chair weekly forecast and resource meetings with Maintenance and Projects teams and produce a labour board to allocate resources against projects.
  • Support the training department and senior managers to ensure resources have required skills and training.
  • Provide support and advice on resilience to ensure future operation, maintenance, and training can be achieved for optimum service delivery with minimal disruption.
  • Contribute to improving the quality and delivery of the daily plan by accurately reporting task data and deviations from plan.
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with staff, workforce, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Located in or within travelling distance of Plymouth.
  • Hybrid working possible, but likely to be site-based.
  • Civils infrastructure/Building experience.
  • Work in MOD/Nuclear premises.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

We estimate this role to offer a salary of around £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
