We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Respite Nurse to join our team at Kites Corner. As a Senior Respite Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical nursing care to children with complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership to ensure the safe running of Kites Corner and maintain a caring, supportive, and safe environment for children and infants.
- Supervise and support Nurses and Health Care Assistants, encouraging staff feedback and involvement in care planning and documentation.
- Assess and evaluate patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
- Participate in quality control monitoring and auditing processes to ensure the safe delivery of care and maintain high standards through best practice.
- Registered Children's Nurse qualification and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- At least four years of post-registration experience in nursing children with complex needs.
- Experience in supervising and assessing nurses, leading shifts, and providing clinical leadership.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
