Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Respite Nurse to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical nursing care to children with complex needs.

About the Role

As a Senior Respite Nurse, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting our nursing team, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, ensuring that high-quality care is delivered to our patients.
  • Supervise and support the nursing team, providing guidance and development opportunities to ensure that staff are equipped to provide the best possible care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Ensure that our patients receive the best possible care, including medication management, wound care, and other clinical interventions.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse qualification and a current registration with the NMC.
  • At least four years of post-registration experience in nursing children with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
