About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance and Funding Assistant to join our team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Finance and Funding team, ensuring the smooth operation of our fertility services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the day-to-day activity of the finance and funding service, including raising invoices, taking payments from patients, and completing cost of treatment quotations.
  • Check all NHS referrals to the Hewitt Centre for eligibility for NHS-funded IVF treatment, involving a detailed knowledge of eligibility criteria.
  • Generate debt reminder letters monthly using the Infertility Database for Embryology and Andrology Systems (IDEAS) for both Liverpool and Knutsford sites.
  • Use own initiative to propose financial agreements with patients, within agreed guidelines, ensuring these agreements are kept up to date.
  • Take appropriate action if agreements are defaulted on.
Requirements
  • NVQ3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience within a clerical environment, preferably within the NHS.
  • Previous keyboard experience and good telephone manner.
  • Able to adapt to changing procedures within the Unit and demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
