We are seeking a skilled High Voltage Technician Assistant to join our team at Austin Fraser in Norwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and sub-assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have good soldering skills and attention to detail, ensuring the equipment is manufactured to the highest standards possible. You will work closely with the wiring team leader to receive work instructions and engineer drawings, specifications, and guides.

This role involves:

  • Wiring cabinets and installing/connecting wiring harnesses into assembled units
  • Working to received work instructions from wiring team leader
  • Working to engineering drawings, specifications, and guides

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Ability to read/understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams
  • Experience in soldering, crimping, lacing, and splicing
  • Familiarity with cable production techniques
  • PCB Assembly experience (Desirable)
  • NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline (Desirable)
