Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Contract: Full time, Permanent

About the Role

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team is partnering with a UK-wide SEN Trust to hire an experienced SEN Teacher to join their campus in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASC) and specific learning difficulties, aged 5-19 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the curriculum as prescribed by our schemes of work, adapting it to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, relevant, and well-structured to cater to a wide range of abilities and communication needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Teacher and other members of the leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of the school's vision, ethos, and objectives.
  • Implement effective teaching and learning strategies, monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching support and students' achievement.
  • Monitor and review practice in the classroom, implementing strategies to address under-performance and improve teaching standards.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Desirable: Science and/or secondary teaching experience, thorough knowledge of the curriculum, and experience working with young people with ASD.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Ability to create and maintain nurturing relationships with students.
