About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Multimedia Content Team at Amazon Development Centre (London) Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions for image and video processing, as well as deploying ML models for real-time and offline batch processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions for image and video processing, including real-time and offline batch processing.
  • Deploy ML models for image and video processing, ensuring high reliability and scalability.
  • Build robust and scalable systems that operate with automation, delivering data under agreed SLAs to all customers.
About the Team

The Multimedia Content Team processes images, video, and audio crawled from the web and acquired from licensed sources. We provide processed multimedia content for display use on screened devices, foundational and multimodal large language model training, and knowledge grounding.

Requirements
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language, such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
  • Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
