Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team. As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of our business, including the preparation of financial reports, analysis of financial data, and development of financial forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and commentary, including analysis of financial data and identification of key trends and variances.

  1. Financial Analysis

Conduct financial analysis and review of accounts and forecasts to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize financial performance.

  1. Cost Control

Review and control of Bill of Material (BOM) costings of our products, including identification of cost-saving opportunities and implementation of cost-reduction initiatives.

  1. Process Improvement

Review of stock and costing processes, including identification of possible savings and efficiencies, and implementation of process improvements.

  1. Collaboration

Interact with other key departments within the business, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  1. Technology

Exposure to and interaction with our new ERP system implementation, including training and support.

  1. Ad Hoc Projects

Participate in other ad hoc projects as required, including special initiatives and tasks.

Requirements

  1. Qualifications

Be part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent.

  1. Experience

Have a proven track record in a similar role, with experience in financial analysis, cost control, and process improvement.

  1. Skills

Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc.), and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  1. Personal Qualities

Be able to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and have a strong attention to detail.
