Job Title: Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Robert Walpole and Partners, a leading engineering consultancy based in Slough. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our infrastructure development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Involvement: Collaborate with project teams to deliver civil engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and exceptional quality.
  • Design and Analysis: Utilize cutting-edge software and tools to conduct thorough engineering analysis and design for various civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and utilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and codes, and assist in securing necessary permits and approvals.
  • Client Interaction: Foster strong relationships with clients through effective communication and support, working closely with them to understand their project goals and provide tailored solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a diverse team, including architects, structural engineers, and environmental experts, to promote a collaborative and inclusive workplace.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the precision and integrity of our engineering designs by adhering to strict quality control procedures and reviewing project deliverables to ensure exceptional standards.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices, and contribute to innovative engineering solutions and sustainable practices.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized institution, such as ICE, is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record of successful project contributions.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and advanced structural analysis tools.
  • A solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and materials.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • A strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and outstanding engineering practices is highly valued.
