Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is a leading healthcare provider in the region, employing over 19,000 staff and offering a wide range of services to support the health and wellbeing of our local population. We are currently seeking an experienced Apheresis Specialist Nurse to join our clinical team.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and experience in working with patients undergoing apheresis procedures, including stem cell harvesting, plasma exchange, and therapeutic photopheresis. As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients and ensuring best practice is achieved in all aspects of clinical care.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing service that provides treatment for patients referred from Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, and Staffordshire. You will work closely with the apheresis lead clinical nurse specialist to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote high standards of care and clinical effectiveness.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also be responsible for participating in governance activities to ensure the highest standards of care and business conduct are achieved. This includes reviewing current standards of care delivery through audit projects, undertaking audit and research projects where required, and encouraging team members to be involved.

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and career progression.

The post holder must be able to work within unpleasant clinical working conditions, concentrate in an intense and sometimes noisy environment, cope with potentially violent and threatening situations, and fulfill Trust health and safety policies and procedures when performing risk-associated procedures.
