About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Kimberly-Clark. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering legislative and corporate safety and engineering standards, championing and continuously improving all safety requirements, and leading the reduction of risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage capital projects from initial feasibility study to final close out, ensuring KPIs for safety, cost, time, and specification are met.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis and 4-step problem-solving, ensuring actions are completed, closed out, and shared with relevant parties.
  • Coach, develop, build capability, and consciously improve the way in which mill teams adhere to mechanical mill processes and standards.
  • Champion the planning, implementation, and continuation of company-wide programs, such as LEAN, OPEX, and P2030 best practice.
  • Transfer in-depth technical knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, transmission systems, steam generation, and lifting equipment.
  • Apply and use CBM methodologies to drive equipment reliability.
  • Manage work prioritization based on asset criticality assessments.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG environments. You should have a logical and methodical approach, be a natural problem solver, and have a flair for quick and efficient learning. You will be a proactive attitude and be able to adapt to the latest technologies.
