Salary: £39,500 - £46,300 per annum
About the Role
This challenging yet rewarding role involves carrying out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.
You will work on a variety of cases across a range of conditions, including mental health. This requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- NMC registered nurse with 1 year's broad post-registration experience
- Proactive and keen to learn
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable working towards individual and team targets, in a supportive environment
- Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions
