Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals working with children aged 11-16 in secondary schools across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a positive and professional rapport with students, providing individualized support to meet their needs.
  • Differentiate support to cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Engage in activities led by the classroom teacher, offering support and guidance as needed.
  • Provide support to students with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being while following the school's curriculum.
  • Offer guidance and feedback to students under the direction of the class teacher.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent are essential.
  • A-levels, degrees, or higher qualifications are desirable.
  • Experience working with children outside of school or with vulnerable adults is beneficial.
  • The role is suitable for university students who are currently studying.
  • Experience in care or nursing would be an asset, but not essential.

Working with GSL Education:
