Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives? GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants in Hull.

We offer a range of opportunities for those looking to start their career in education or gain valuable experience working with children. As a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant, you'll have the chance to work across various schools, engaging with children of different ages and abilities.

No prior qualifications are necessary. We provide a free Level 2 Teaching Assistant course for candidates with the right experience. All you need is the drive and passion to make a difference in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their educational journey
  • Help manage and guide behaviour in accordance with school policies
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement academic or social interventions
  • Assist in delivering creative and engaging lessons
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments
  • Support phonics education following the school's chosen program
  • Foster independence in life skills
  • Ensure outstanding safeguarding and pastoral care

Ideal Candidates Will:

  • Have experience working with children or vulnerable adults
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind, and caring
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to undergo the process)
  • Have a fully checkable work history
  • Hold a driving license or be willing to use public transport within Hull
  • Be in good mental and physical health, resilient, and reliable
  • Be able to work with vulnerable and challenging students in a school environment

This role requires a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
