Job Summary

The Lead Supervisor is a key role within the Scottish Leather Group Operations team, responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of our manufacturing facilities. This position requires a strong leader who can develop and implement cleaning procedures, manage a team of cleaning staff, and work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Supervise and train a team of cleaning staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about cleaning protocols and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to minimize disruptions and ensure cleaning activities are efficiently integrated into the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and inspections.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to cleaning promptly and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements in cleaning technology and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a cleaning or maintenance management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in industrial cleaning or related fields.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes.
