As a Marine Electronics Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of safety, communication, and navigation systems on vessels.

Your role will include conducting safety assessments of merchant vessels in accordance with SOLAS regulations, the relevant Classification societies, or MCA standards.

This position is based in the Southampton area.

Key Responsibilities of the Marine Electronics Specialist:

  • Execute installation and commissioning of equipment on client vessels and facilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on equipment at client vessels and facilities as well as on company premises
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and the company's sales and service representatives
  • Promote and facilitate the upselling of Company products and services during client interactions
  • Conduct surveys and inspections of ship radio communications and navigational installations, provided you possess the necessary qualifications, accreditations, and experience
  • Demonstrate competence with marine equipment and integrated systems based on your experience and qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements for the Marine Electronics Specialist:

  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential as travel will be necessary for this role (Average - 2 days a week away from home)
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in an electronics-related field
