Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring physical compliance with all aspects of the project with regards to quality, inspections, sign-offs, defects, concessions, derogations and approvals. This position is an integral part of the project team and will liaise with the site team which includes Site Agents, Site Engineers, Site Supervisors, Foremen and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain company Integrated Management System for ISO 9001 and quality management system in relation to any specific project requirements.
  • Ensure that the construction of the new asset is compliant with the National Grid regulations and conditions of contract.
  • Liaise with the client, clients team, third parties on site walks and one site quality meetings.
  • Manage project Quality Key Performance Indicators in conjunction with the site team.
  • Highlighting areas where poor practice and/or significant risk have occurred and develop and deliver toolbox talks to communicate these to the project and wider company.
  • Create and issue project Quality alerts on any significant quality issues.
  • Liaising with enforcing authorities to demonstrate compliance.
  • Keeping up to date with new legislation and best practices in the industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Up to date knowledge of UK legislation in relation to SHEQ Operation to ISO 9001
  • CSCS card holder – Management standard
  • Excellent IT Skills – in-particular Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Good management/organisational skills, with ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Understand and maintain company KPI's in relation to future business improvement
  • Experience in delivering presentations/training sessions
  • At least five years construction experience

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
