Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Leaving Care Solutions. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people who have been in care and are moving towards independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a responsive and customized service to young people placed in their individual flat or shared house.
  • Work in line with person-centered risk assessments and support plans to ensure the well-being and safety of young people.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff, and professionals by communicating effectively and actively seeking ways to improve the experience of young people in the service.
  • Ensure continuous support is provided to young people at the standards of day staff, with a particular focus on the safety of vulnerable individuals.
  • Liaise with external agencies, such as the police and Emergency Duty Team (EDT), as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.
  • Flexibility in availability, as the role will include weekend work.
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to study towards this.
  • Be willing to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle required.
  • Excellent computer skills.
