Director of Leveraged Finance

As a Director of Leveraged Finance, you will be responsible for structuring, underwriting, and distributing leveraged finance products, including institutional term loans and high-yield bonds.
Key activities include:
- Providing capital markets input, including structuring, pricing, and execution guidance for TLB & HYB transactions.
- Focusing on maximizing revenues through underwriting and distribution while managing risk.
- Maintaining current market knowledge to assess the viability of execution and distribution of leveraged finance products.
- Key contact for TLB & HYB products with other parts of the bank, including Leveraged Finance and Relationship Managers.
- Leading negotiations on HYB and associated bridge documentation.
- Developing and maintaining investor relationships.
- Managing, developing, and mentoring more junior team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Educated to degree level.
- Extensive experience in the sub-investment grade loan/HYB assets class (capital markets and/or loan sales & trading).
- Deep understanding of the sub-investment grade loan/HYB assets class.
- Well-connected in the loan and HYB market.
- Solid credit background.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Full understanding of the current regulatory environment related to the loan and HYB business.
- FCA-certified person.
As a Director of Leveraged Finance, you will be performing a Significant Harm Function as defined by the FCA. This means that you must be certified as Fit and Proper by Commerzbank prior to taking up your role. You will be required to adhere to internal policies and standards (Compliance, KYC, etc.) as well as external regulatory requirements.
