About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Patient Catering Supervisor to join our team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of housekeepers and ensuring the smooth provision of food and drink services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Catering: Ensure the provision of high-quality food and drink services to our patients, with a focus on food safety and hygiene.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, guests, clinical staff, and work colleagues, providing high standards of customer service.
  • Audits and Monitoring: Monitor and maintain food hygiene, health, and safety policies, and provide support for the housekeeping team to ensure compliance.
  • People Management: Effectively line manage a team of housekeepers, providing daily assistance, training, rostering, appraisals, and career development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Food Safety Management, HACCP Knowledge, and Advanced Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to handle complex and sensitive situations; good ICT skills, including MS Office packages; ability to interpret and analyze data; and experience of managing staff and training staff.
