Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Nuclear Safety Regulation and Interface Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide support, independent advice, and guidance on the requirements of the Nuclear Site License, Authorisation and Environmental Permits to relevant business teams to ensure compliance with both statutory and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical advice and guidance to business teams on nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.
  2. Influence business management arrangements and ways of working to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Interface with a broad diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and authorities.
  4. Opportunities to get involved in other parts of the team.

Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Stakeholder management experience - working with various stakeholders incl. Contractors, Directors etc.
  2. Experience of technical/report writing and persuasive written argument.
  3. Experience in providing technical advice.
  4. Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements.

Desirable:

  1. Experience in a high hazard regulated industry.

About the Team:

The Nuclear Safety and Regulation Department oversee the nuclear regulation for the site. They exist to provide specialist advice to the business with regards to nuclear safety and site licensing and is a key part of maintaining the license to operate. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
