About the Role

Care UK, a leading provider of high-quality care services, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in leading our kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on fresh, seasonal produce and creative menu development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
