Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Curriculum Delivery**: Lead and deliver lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring the continued progress and engagement of students.
  • **Support and Differentiation**: Provide targeted support to individuals and groups of students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • **Collaboration**: Work closely with teachers and school leaders to contribute to the planning and development of curriculum activities.
  • **Assessment and Reporting**: Assist in the assessment of student progress, providing valuable insights and feedback to contribute to ongoing improvement.
  • **Behavioral Support**: Implement positive behavior management strategies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • **Professional Development**: Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about best practices and educational innovations.

**Requirements**

  • Qualified as HLTA or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a demonstrated ability to lead lessons and support diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Initiative, adaptability, and a genuine passion for contributing to the educational success of students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or a related field.
