We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Headteacher to lead the Trust as Attendance Champion. The appointed candidate will be responsible for improving student attendance across The Academies, having an oversight of academy attendance on a day-to-day basis and developing effective systems and structures that ensure the Academy's strategic aims are achieved.

The successful candidate will implement effective systems and build close and productive relationships with parents/carers and students to discuss and tackle attendance issues. They will also lead, coordinate, line manage and performance manage the attendance team and resources, setting a clear vision for improving and maintaining good attendance.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, experience as a successful team leader, and the ability to foster effective relationships with stakeholders and external agencies. They will also have a strong grasp of absence data and oversight of absence data analysis, producing reports and identifying key insights.

The Academies provides staff with the most appropriate and effective support to ensure that their professional development needs are fully met and that there is a high level of challenge in the opportunities they are offered. We have a weekly CPD programme for all and a very strong record of developing staff.

The appointed candidate will be responsible for attendance across both sites of our academy, which operates across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5.
