About the Role

As a key member of the Future Payload Products team, you will drive the creation of world-class solutions from R&D to flight programs. Your expertise in system design, simulation, and laboratory prototyping will ensure the successful integration of digital, photonics, and RF systems. You will work closely with suppliers to assess, manage, and steer technology development, while conducting customer requirement specification and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design: Develop future satellite payloads including antennas, beamformers, and on-board digital signal processors for space-based applications.
  • Simulation and Prototyping: Conduct simulations, analyses, and laboratory prototyping of digital, photonics, and RF systems.
  • Supplier Management: Assess, manage, and steer supplier technology and equipment development.
  • Customer Requirements: Specify and negotiate customer requirements.
  • Concept Feasibility: Assess and generate new ideas, influencing Airbus roadmaps and strategy.
  • Funding Sourcing: Demonstrate value of products through proposals to institutions and agencies, and internally within Airbus.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with an education background in a relevant engineering or related discipline, such as networking, electronic engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics. Your experience in systems engineering, particularly in communications, satellite communications, and secure communications, is essential. Additionally, you should have expertise in system/equipment RF/digital/silicon hardware, firmware, or software detailed design.
