Job Summary:

MCS Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst to support and develop their voice and data networks, security, and server infrastructure. As part of a small, integrated team, you will provide third-level support and development for the IT Service Desk, supporting over 85 locations across Northern Ireland. Your role will involve maintaining the availability and accessibility of IT infrastructure according to service-level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, support, and develop key business systems, including file, print, application, and database servers, and storage area networks.
  • Oversee and support approximately 100 server systems, ensuring full lifecycle management from design to decommissioning.
  • Monitor and refine server and network performance for optimal operation.
  • Provide training to Information Systems staff on new systems and support the first and second-line teams.
  • Design and manage security policies for the domain, as well as implement and manage new domain controllers.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Practical experience in a multi-site, distributed ICT environment.
  • Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in IT or a business-related subject, or at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with computer hardware, network components, and enterprise technologies such as email, web services, security, and databases.
