We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our dynamic team at Asda Opticians, committed to delivering high-quality patient care and service.
As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for completing eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations, working alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support training, coaching and maintaining all departmental standards.
Our extended service contracts with the NHS enable us to deliver a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions, and we will support you to gain any additional accreditations you may need to deliver these services.
We are passionate about providing our Optometrists with the training they need to fulfill their role and enhance their skills, with a fantastic CPD programme and protected time to complete further accreditations, funded by Asda.
With in-store, regional and home office teams, you will be fully supported in all aspects of your role, whether clinical or service-based.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations
- Work alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to support training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards
- Deliver a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions
- Gain additional accreditations as needed to deliver services
- Participate in CPD programme and complete further accreditations
Requirements
- Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
- Registered performer with NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months)
- On track to meet statutory points requirement for CPD
