Job Opportunity: Deputy Manager for Vulnerable Youth Services

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team and support our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) service. As a key member of our social work team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for young people in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Team Manager with decision-making and chairing key meetings
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to secure stable placements and implement long-term positive changes
  • Lead on recruitment, training, and supervision of team members
  • Advocate for young people within the care system
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work and SW England registration
  • Practice Educator qualification
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Practitioner within Safeguarding or Permanence
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks and children's care pathways
