SEND Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wandsworth. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs, from early years to 19 years old.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, working closely with Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational/Educational Therapists.
  • Assist teachers in designing and delivering tailored learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies that support pupils with complex needs.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a commitment to collaborative working practices.
