Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Gi Group is proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company, who are one of the most well-known manufacturers in the UK, to find a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

Job Role:

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance for all equipment on site. This will include maintaining a range of specialist machinery and equipment throughout our factory site, including cyclical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure production priorities are understood in order to carry out maintenance works, enabling orders to be met.
  • Accurately and timely complete necessary documentation.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment.
  • React to breakdowns quickly to reduce downtime.
Desirable Experience:
  • A recognised time served apprenticeship.
  • Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment.
  • Strong diagnostic, fault finding capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, FMCG experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • The ability to read advanced electrical/mechanical drawings on new machinery.
