Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior NetOps Engineer to join our team in the Department of Work & Pensions - Digital. The successful candidate will have significant experience with designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure technologies, solutions, and services.

This role involves creating and developing a DevOps/NetOps culture within the team as we transition to new ways of working. You will collaborate with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and customers to ensure operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability, and quality of DWP Networks.

You will actively manage the work backlog, develop reliability improvements, and lead initiatives to automate low-value tasks while balancing project delivery demands.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large government organisation's digital transformation, powering one of the largest digital transformations in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, administer, and support infrastructure technologies, solutions, and services.
  • Ensure the right actions are taken to investigate, resolve, and anticipate Network problems.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and configuration as code, CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab, Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and OCI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
