Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector.

We're seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our thriving technical community and growing business in the UK Public Sector. As a key member of our team, you'll work collaboratively to bring the latest in disruptive cloud computing technologies, including artificial intelligence, to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
As an AWS Solutions Architect, you'll have ownership of the technical relationship with customers, providing recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best-practice architectures.

You'll be an advocate for our customers, helping drive continual improvements to AWS services by sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features and services. You'll also contribute to the development of the Solutions Architecture organisation by helping to hire, coach, and mentor others, and finding opportunities to improve the way we work.

In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define and invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community.

You'll own or participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures, and evangelise and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences.

Requirements

- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Experience within specific technology domain areas, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities
