Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of joinery products using SolidWorks and SWOOD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of joinery products, ensuring accuracy and precision in design.
  • Design and oversee the creation of prototypes using CNC machines, allowing for practical testing and validation of design concepts before full-scale production.
  • Optimize design for minimal material waste and efficient production using CNC machining.
  • Work closely with CNC operators, production managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing, addressing any technical issues that arise.
  • Support quality checks on designs and final products, ensuring they meet industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • The ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively.
  • Great communication and presentation skills.
