About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. as a Data Strategist for Supply Chain Optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data strategies that improve delivery experiences for billions of Amazon customers worldwide.

As a Data Strategist, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to design and implement new cost allocation strategies, assess the impact of new program rollouts, and build operational and anomaly detection reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. You must be analytical in your decision-making, with a demonstrated ability to drive issues to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with business customers, gather requirements, and deliver accurate, easy-to-use, and scalable Business Intelligence solutions
  • Build ETL, data pipeline jobs, aggregations, and automated delivery using SQL, Python/R, and shell scripts
  • Design data models on various database platforms like Redshift, MySQL, or object-based data stores
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • 3+ years of experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
