The CDM Advisor Role

The successful CDM Advisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and promoting best practices in health and safety across a diverse range of projects. Working within a team of experts, you will provide comprehensive CDM and health and safety advisory services from project inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on their duties under CDM regulations, ensuring seamless compliance.
  • Prepare and review pre-construction information, construction phase plans, and health and safety files, guaranteeing accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and implement hazard elimination strategies, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to health and safety standards, maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
  • Deliver CDM and health and safety training sessions to clients and project teams, promoting knowledge and understanding.
  • Support the integration of health and safety principles into the design and construction processes, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in a construction-related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in the subject matter.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification, showcasing expertise and knowledge.
  • Membership with IOSH or APS is highly desirable, indicating a commitment to professional development and excellence.
  • Proven experience in providing CDM and health and safety consultancy services, with a track record of success and achievement.
  • Thorough understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety practices, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
