Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SENCO to lead our SEND team in a well-regarded secondary school in Bexley. As a Special Needs Coordinator Expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality Individual Education Plans (IEPs), providing guidance and training to teaching staff, and ensuring compliance with all SEND regulations and the school's SEND policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the SEND provision, ensuring all students with special educational needs and disabilities are supported to achieve their potential.
  • Develop and implement high-quality IEPs, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
  • Provide guidance and training to teaching staff on best practices for differentiating lessons and supporting students with a range of needs.
  • Monitor and track the progress of SEND students, regularly reviewing support strategies and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all SEND regulations and the school's SEND policy.
