Climate Adaptation Strategy Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Climate Adaptation Strategy Lead to spearhead our airport's Net Zero Plan. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to drive the transition to a low-carbon future and ensure business resilience in a rapidly changing climate.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our long-term climate adaptation strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify key investments and develop business cases to deliver the climate adaptation strategy.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in climate risk and adaptation, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience of leading complex projects and delivering business outcomes. A proven commercial understanding and ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and simple way are essential.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about sustainable development, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to lead by example in promoting equality and diversity within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement our long-term climate adaptation strategy.
- Act as a technical SME on climate adaptation and future trends.
- Identify key investments and develop business cases to deliver the climate adaptation strategy.
- Work closely with key business functions to plan and drive the overall plan of activity necessary to deliver the adaptation strategy.
- Own and maintain the overall climate adaptation risk assessment.
- Represent us on climate adaptation with key external stakeholders, including Government, industry, and local authorities.
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
