Job Overview

Venesky-Brown is seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Financial Services Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a strategic vision for the Social Care Financial Service, driving transformational change and improving the quality of service provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a performance framework aligned to service performance, delivery, and benefits rationalisation.
  • Ensure financial assessment decisions are in line with Statutory Guidance and manage complex cases with discretion and judgment.
  • Lead the department on benefit maximisation analysis and guidance to customers, advising on developing and design of purchasing and monitoring frameworks to mitigate fair cost.
  • Manage staff to ensure verification and validation of capital assets and benefit maximisation, and develop and implement Adult Social Care policies and strategies aligned to Charging and Vulnerable Adults Debt Recovery.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Income Teams to develop an ASC Debt Recovery Policy linked to client debt and respond effectively to Local Ombudsman complaints associated with Client Finance and Charging Services.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate level education with substantial management experience at a senior level within an Adult Social Care financial assessment/charging environment, commissioning and procurement, and/or social care operations.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record in developing staff and improving performance, and ability to interpret, understand, and communicate complex advice on legal and/or financial issues.
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge in areas such as Deputyship and the Court of Protection, Appointeeship, Charges for Residential Accommodation (CRAG), non-residential financial assessments, Deferred Payments, Direct Payments, Independent Personal Budgets, Self-Funders, and debt recovery.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation and their implications for this specific area of work, and excellent working knowledge of the political landscape, legislative frameworks, and regional and national drivers surrounding the area of specialism.
What We Offer

Venesky-Brown offers a competitive rate of £346.15 PAYE - £450 umbrella for this initial month contract, with hybrid working arrangements and opportunities for professional growth and development.
