Job Title: Principal Social Worker, Corporate Parenting Team

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Principal Social Worker to join our Corporate Parenting service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of 8-10 cases, acting as a senior member of staff, and ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive social work support within the Corporate Parenting framework.
  • Manage a caseload of 8-10 children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are upheld.
  • Act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Engage in safeguarding court work, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to promote the welfare of children and ensure their safety.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate parenting or safeguarding court work is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing social work practice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.
  • SWE registered
