Optamor, a leader in the EV industry, is seeking an accomplished Automotive Electrification Engineer to join our Vehicle Electrification Team as a High Voltage Powertrain System Developer.

This challenging role offers the opportunity to work with a revolutionary company, focusing on achieving excellence in creating sustainable mobility solutions.

As part of our high-performing engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering Forseven's High Voltage System, including hardware and software perspectives, along with interfaces to other systems, across multiple programs and markets.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver a successful vehicle program, incorporating attribute, software, component supplier, and chassis teams.
  • Develop and document strategies and concepts for high-voltage energy management.
  • Support architecture development and definition on future projects.
  • Own the relevant High Voltage Powertrain System FMEA and support project engineers in delivering component DFMEA.

Salary: £75,000 - £95,000 per annum.

You will require significant experience in delivering high-voltage electric powertrain systems within an automotive engineering environment. Experience with vehicle testing and analysis using measurement and calibration tools such as Vector CANalyzer and ETAS INCA is also necessary.

A comprehensive understanding of the V-Cycle and its application in an automotive environment is essential. Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree, combined with relevant experience, is required.

High Voltage training to Senior Authorised Person or IMI Level 4 is desired, and a full driving licence is essential.

No visa or other restrictions apply for working in the UK or travelling in the European Union.
