Job Summary: Highway Project Advisor - HSE Compliance Specialist

Location: North Lanarkshire

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced HSE professional to join our team as a Highway Project Advisor - HSE Compliance Specialist. The role will involve promoting a culture of health, safety and environmental awareness among project teams.

The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and promoting best practices across multiple highway projects. They will provide expert advice on legislative updates and best practice policies, supported by accurate reporting and data.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with highway or groundwork project experience. A NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate and CSCS certification are also essential.

About the Role:

  • Promote a culture of health, safety and environmental awareness among project teams.
  • Lead by example, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and promoting best practices across multiple highway projects.
  • Provide expert advice on legislative updates and best practice policies, supported by accurate reporting and data.
  • Ensure team readiness by delivering effective communication, training and competency evaluations.
  • Develop, implement and maintain HSE procedures and manuals to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
