Head of Business Development

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to drive our business growth and expansion in the UK hospital and care sectors. As the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to identify new business opportunities, build key customer relationships, and negotiate and close business deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to expand our market share and secure new business in the UK hospital and care sectors.
  • Achieve annual growth and profitability targets as outlined in our business plan.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals that align with our strategic objectives and financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and initiatives that support the business development strategy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the board of directors on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals, setting clear goals and performance metrics.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in a Head of Business Development role, within the UK hospital and/or care sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven history of building high-level relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving performance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude and a drive to succeed.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Full driving license.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
