Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join their team in Essex. As a key member of the site management team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and programs to enhance products, services, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of CI plans to drive site-wide improvements
  • Collaborate with site management to secure necessary resources for CI initiatives
  • Supervise the application of CI and Lean tools to drive process excellence
  • Produce regular metrics and conduct monthly reviews with management to assess progress and adjust plans as needed
  • Coordinate 6 Sigma and Lean projects to drive business improvement
  • Support and advise Lean Practitioners and Apprentices/Kaizen Facilitators
  • Identify training needs for employees on problem-solving techniques and CI tools, and organize training measures and Kaizen events
  • Manage "cost saving" projects to drive business efficiency
  • Collaborate on internal audits to ensure compliance and quality

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques, gained at Lean leader level or similar
  • 6 Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
  • Extensive experience working in a production or industrial environment is essential
  • Previous hands-on experience with value stream mapping and implementation is a must
  • Proven experience driving Kaizen events with results in EH&S, 5S & Visual Management, Standard Work, SMED, and TPM
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver results
  • Strong project management skills
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven approach
