About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at Optical Express. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.

Your primary focus will be on administering payroll, from start to finish. This includes inputting and processing all relevant data, such as salaries, overtime payments, bonuses, benefit deductions, and voluntary deductions. You will also manage leave of absence requests and maintain accurate employee records.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will provide day-to-day support to our HR team, answering queries and assisting with payroll audits as needed. You will also ensure that employee leave balances are up-to-date and aligned with local policies.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including state-of-the-art working environments, 29 days annual leave, free eye tests, and a pension scheme.

  • Administer payroll, completing tasks from start to end, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Input and process all relevant data required for payroll, including salaries, overtime/shift/call-out payments, bonuses, benefit deductions, voluntary deductions, maternity/paternity allowances, sickness.
  • Manage all leave of absence requests (maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave, unpaid leave, and jury service).
  • Provide day-to-day Payroll and administration support in a timely and accurate manner, dealing with all queries raised.
  • Assist with Payroll audits as required.
  • Maintain employees' leave balances, ensuring they are aligned to local policies.
