About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Projects Lawyer to join our team at Barnsley Council. The successful candidate will have experience of working on Major Projects, including construction contracts, development agreements, and consultancy agreements. They will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and advising on these types of projects.

Salary Information: The salary range for this position is £36,648 - £47,420 per annum, with pay award pending.

Main Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the Projects Lawyer role include:

  • Working on Major Projects, such as the Alhambra Shopping Centre and The Glassworks
  • Drafting, reviewing, and advising on construction contracts, such as JCT and NEC
  • Drafting or reviewing development agreements, framework agreements, and bespoke standard terms and conditions
  • Advising on consultancy agreements, professional service contracts, grant agreements, collateral warranties, PCGs, bond, and collaboration agreements
  • Working closely with the procurement team to provide advice
  • Development and regeneration projects
