About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Platform Design Specialist to join our Fluid Systems team at BAE Systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of Mechanical Platform Systems that deliver crucial ship services and crew life support capabilities for next-generation Nuclear Submarines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain functional engineering solutions that meet complex array of cross-functional interactions and requirements.
  • Co-ordinate and manage relationships with suppliers to develop equipment and component specifications that meet challenging demands of the product.
  • Work directly with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios, use cases and other design considerations.
  • Review and perform engineering calculations and analysis to make design decisions and demonstrate system performance.
