Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to join our team at The Arc in Westcliffe, Scunthorpe. As a key member of our innovative and fun team, you will play a vital role in making a positive impact on the lives of young people aged 8 and above.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work directly with children aged 8-18, assisting the Westcliff Youth Mentor in delivering a weekly events and activities calendar. Your primary objective will be to help meet the needs and aspirations of young people, inspiring them to grow to their full potential as engaged members of their communities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience working with young people aged 8-18
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A keen interest and understanding of the issues faced by young community members, particularly those aged 8 upwards

Please note that the post holder must undergo an enhanced DBS check due to the nature of the position.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist the Westcliff Youth Mentor in delivering a range of engaging activities for young people aged 8-18
  • To provide support and guidance to young people, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • To work collaboratively with the youth mentor and other team members to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of young people

Working Hours and Pay Rate: This is a part-time role, requiring the successful candidate to work 4 hours per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with occasional overtime during school holidays. The hourly pay rate is £11.44.
