Job Description

Spectrum Control Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team on a two-year fixed-term contract.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves ownership of the consolidation of business applications, including assessment of current state, mapping to future state, and delivery implementation. The successful candidate will ensure effective use and running of business applications and reporting through training, support, and continual improvement.

Main Responsibilities
  • Consolidate and maintain Power BI reports, ensuring timely delivery and ongoing development.
  • Lead the ERP consolidation project, delivering it on time and within budget.
  • Document systems, technical specifications, processes, and modifications for efficient knowledge sharing.
  • Design and develop business applications to optimize business processes, leveraging data insights for informed decision-making.
  • Configure and modify applications in a timely manner to meet business requirements, streamlining workflows and improving productivity.
  • Develop job aids and technical tools for end-users, enhancing their ability to utilize business applications effectively.
  • Provide business application support and maintenance, including coordination and testing of upgrades to ensure seamless operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact and escalation point.
  • Contribute significantly to the development and improvement of business processes, driving process excellence across the organization.
  • Ensure business applications are used optimally, providing necessary training and support to maximize their effectiveness.
  • Understand, support, and consolidate current reporting methods, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote best practices and common standards across all businesses, driving consistency and efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Power BI is essential, demonstrating proficiency in report design, development, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of business processes and tools, showcasing expertise in system analysis and application development.
  • Good understanding of SQL databases, query writing, and general maintenance is required, along with experience in report writing using SQL.
  • Experience with ERP implementations is desirable, highlighting your ability to manage complex projects and drive successful outcomes.

  • Ability to relate to and understand business processes from Quote to Cash, showcasing empathy and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, driving efficiency and productivity.

  • A competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
