Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team at Get Staffed Online Recruitment Limited. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting customer goods in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and collect customer goods in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Check and scan consignments at time of collection or delivery, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies
  • Ensure accurate recording of POD information and take photographic evidence
  • Assist the Operations team during evening operations, including weighing packages, bagging up, data processing, and labelling
  • Build relationships with clients by maintaining a professional and courteous manner
  • Lodge at wholesale agents in accordance with cut-off times as required
  • Check for any packages left over in the evening and report to the Line Manager
  • Liaise with transport/operations to ensure maximum efficiency during the working day
  • Unload vehicle upon arrival at Colnbrook facility, sorting shipments according to destination and service type
  • Ensure van is kept clean and tidy, completing a vehicle checklist every Monday
  • Wear company uniform and maintain a presentable, neat, and tidy appearance
  • Drive safely, minimizing traffic offenses, fines, and accidents, and reporting incidents as soon as they occur

Requirements:

  • Fit and healthy, with some manual work and lifting required
  • Previous driving experience in London and working to tight deadlines is essential
  • UK driving license with no more than 3 points
  • Experience/confidence driving a short wheel-based van or similar
  • Courier operations experience preferred but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good command of the English language
  • No criminal record
  • Able to provide good references
  • A stable work history with a good sickness record
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Able to work well in a small team and follow company processes
  • Friendly and can-do attitude
